Frequently Asked Questions

If the car belongs to a deceased person, can it still be donated?
Cars can still be donated if a person is deceased. Different states have different guidelines. Check with your state DMV or check with us to be certain.
What do I need to know before signing the title?
Signing the title is simple. All you have to do is sign in the correct space. If you don’t know where to sign the driver picking up the vehicle can show you where to sign.
What kind of tax deduction will I receive?
At a minimum a donor can take up to $500.00. If the vehicle sells for more than $500.00 then the donor gets the larger amount as the tax write-off.
If my vehicle does not run, will you sell the parts?
All of the vehicles are sold regardless of their condition. Some are recycled for parts use, some are fixed up and put back into use, and some are roadworthy and excellent condition when picked up and are put back into service.
Can I donate an abandoned car?
In some states you can donate an abandoned car, in others you can’t. If you don’t know check with your state DMV or with us to be certain.
What areas do you serve?
We currently serve the entire 50 U.S. states plus Puerto Rico and Canada.
